i won't apologise if you're offended.
i refuse to sugar-coat the truth.
i'm your f*%^ing friend, not a yes-man.
if you don't like it, can't take it,
if you refuse me the same respect,
then why the hell are you talking to me?
if they break the relationship because i have told the truth, then it's not really a friendship (or at least, my defn of friendship). i always make it clear that it is my perspective of the truth and they can choose to disagree with me. but if a friend won't tell you the truth, who will?
i've inferred a connection, especially since it seems as though you wrote it immediately after the discussion...? if i can't afford to offend my "significants" with the truth, then i'm more doomed than i thought. much love always. no matter what.

Will you risk the friendship on the sake of telling the truth?
Just wondering...

I won't tell you the truth.
I guess it depends on how often you prefer to be 'reminded' of the truth by your friend. Once in a while and on things that matter might be ideal.
Sometime the truth just doesn't matter.
I like my truth covered in a yummy double glazed dark chocolate because I'm in a constant state of denial.
